Sunday, long time friends Ross and Stephanie who are getting married Ina couple months came out for a sail and to finally meet Mia. At the same time, my boat neighbor sailed with us on his boat over to bluff cove. After a failed side-tie attempt, he anchored a safe distance away and snapped a few photos of A Cenoura. We had lunch and Sailed a long route back.
Cory showing us the rope fall, as opposed to the rope swing.
Scott and Nicole visited for memorial weekend. On Saturday we pretty much covered all the sailboat activities. Scott’s friend Cory came by, we anchored, sailed to bluff cove, anchored again, did rope swinging, sailed back, got dinner and then spent the night out anchored. Sunday was a dock party my neighbor had, and a lot of friends stopped by.
Memorial Day weekend. Early morning pump out before Scott and Nicole arrive. The light off shore wind guided my boat into the better pump out dock. Then I backed the boat into the slip. Found out that it’s much easier to stop in the larger channel before the finger piers and go in reverse starting there and all the way down to my dock in reverse.

A Cenoura gets hauled out for bottom paint and a new stuffing box. $1,050 and 3 days. I was pretty happy about it actually because I got to stay at Mia’s apartment… A shower just steps away and a kitchen about 6 times bigger than my galley, oh and television shows.
On nice days in the Santa Monica bay you could often see a helicopter with pontoons that say boatpix.com. If flew by when Bridget, Mia and I were sailing and seeing whales, the results were awesome. Also proof that I need to get my bottom painted - the boat looks great though.

Back at home, moms house, saw this insanely awesome photo of my mom sailing the catalina 27 she had with my dad. My dad is up on the windward side as rail meat.

What do you do when you finally make it back to the United States after a hurricane leaves you stranded for days in Mexico? You do laundry. And you go bowling. Some clothes were still clean, but needed some febreeze spray and fresh ocean air, so we hung them.
