Three Year Anniversary
Let's go out of town, we're running out or opportunities to do that and we definitely have some things to celebrate. Our criteria was simple: air conditioning, a pool, hot sun. Mia remembered a great hotel/resort in La Quinta near Palm Springs. it was 101 during the day, there were 41 pools, and thanks to Mia's smooth talking skills, we were given a free upgrade to what was basically a house on the premises. Everything was awesome, we lounged by the pools Saturday with a cooler and homemade sandwiches. We ran into some friends of mine I haven't seen since high school who were having a wedding at the same place, we enjoyed really good dinner while the wind whipped up to about 35 mph- enough to knock my full wine glass off the table- and while everyone else was moved and seating inside, Mia and I sat there enjoying the desert hot air, knowing how different we normally have it at the boat.

When I'm at a pool these days, I turn into a kid. I practice holding my breath underwater, jumping in, splashing. This is a leisure dive while sipping out of my glass.
