Dinghy storage

Having the dinghy on the foredeck was a bit of a pain. Always using a halyard to lower it onto the dock and then dragging it into the water.  I kept my eyes out online for a cheap flotation doc, but the cheapest thing would run about $250. So I simply asked about these vacant dry storage racks and for four dollars a month problem solved.

The old dinghy Taylor was too short, and a little flimsy. So I bought a new tiller however tellers are a few hundred dollars. This is just an ax handle for $13. Cut out some shapes using the old tiller as a template, apply varnish and we'll see how it looks. Might do some cetol before a final cost of varnish to see if it darkens the color to match the dinghy rudder and daggerboard.
