Heat exchanger heat wrap

It is rare that the engine gets used long enough at one time to reach its true hot operating temperature of 165 degrees. Since I replaced the heat exchanger with the new oversized piece, I think the only few times the engine reached a hot temperature for awhile was a Catalina trip, of which we sailed most of the way back. The engine was probably at 165 degrees for 4 hours. Other than that it's used to get around the harbor or anchoring somewhere and never gets much load on it therefore the engine temperature never rises very high. At least according to the gauge. The point is, I was doing a regular engine inspection of things and saw that a rubber hose and a cloth-wrapped exhaust riser pipe were both making contact with the new extra large heat exchanger and the hose left a little powder on the exchanger while the cloth-wrapped pipe was trying to fray/melt against it. So. A lot of explanation for what I think is a smart and simple fix.
