Halloween Weekend
Awesome hand-me-down chairs from our neighbors Mike and Jo
Mia and I moved the boat from the dock to a mooring ball in the channel.
When we motored out we planned to anchor for the night, but to our surprise the area for anchoring was full.
Sunday fog for a couple hours
The mooring lines are really filthy as they lay on the bottom rather than float.
For the first time I got to use my hose/wash down system to spray off the deck.
We set the dinghy in the water and I wanted to row Mia around. Unfortunately we got about half of the channel away when the bolt holding one of the oars unscrewed itself and we had to individually row back using the oars and paddles. Ending on a high note, the nut and bolt fell into the boat and not overboard so I could fix it easily.
I got it working again and rowed around more while Mia relaxed. The boat is only 9.5 feet, and has a wine-glass shaped stern, and is fairly wobbly. You have to enter and exit the dinghy onto the big boat delicately.
