The sailboat, Diosa, a hunter 33 that my friend Derek bought a few months ago. This time when we went sailing went much smoother than last time (when the motor over heated in gusty wind and we were towed back). Here we went out the San Pedro gates for about an hour with all the boats heading to Avalon. Then practiced a few tacks to teach him, and sailed back in. Of course being “hurricane gulch” it got white capped and gusty and sketchy with all the boats returning and shipping traffic to navigate back to the marina. Really nice marina, good facilities, but the wind sucks.
