Memorial weekend was pretty mellow. I just spent some quality time birding - just kidding, I don’t do anything like that - but there has been a noticeable increase in the amount of big birds around the marina. My assumption is that it is a migration thing, not that they all just came flying out of the torn down building next door. I spent Friday and Saturday with friends and nursed a boat-bite for the rest of the weekend. On Friday night 5 people in total found places to crash inside my sailboat, with myself being up in the V-berth squished between my boxes of clothes and a dehumidifier. When people woke up the master plan was to go get brunch and a drink, which is when that photo of me was taken. Monday was sunny and warm and I took the boat out with my friend Amelia, we just anchored out because the wind was predicted to pick up to small-craft advisory levels.
