I came home at night and accidentally dropped the keycard in the water - this has happened before. So I quickly ran down the ramp and turned to stand at the edge of the dock and watch where it sank to. My plan was to get in my wetsuit and retrieve it.

I’ve never turned that direction off the ramp before and was unaware of the cut-away hole. It was pitch black, I was in a hurry, I fell right in.

The consequences are a completely lost key card ($25) and completely soaked nice clothes - still hanging out to dry two days later- and a completely dead cell phone, which was the real damage. The next day was rough, but now I have a newer phone. Like an unwanted Christmas present.
